Mountain West Bank is looking for a full time Commercial Lending Mgr. who will be responsible for the planning, directing, and controlling of the Commercial Lending Program in conformance with established Bank policies and practices, as well as lending laws and regulations. Direct all commercial loan origination, processing, and closing activities to provide timely, accurate, and service oriented procedures and organization
Essential Functions

1. Hire qualified commercial lenders, credit analysts and loan assistants.
2. Develop and submit to the EVP/Commercial Lending Manager specific department goals and supporting operating plans and programs. Originate and direct the implementation of Bank and department policies and procedures.
3. Work with the EVP/Commercial Lending Manager in analyzing the Bank's commercial loan portfolio to determine profitability and the impact of current lending practices and procedures on the Bank's profit objectives.
4. Implement programs for individual markets to achieve the desired Bank's and department's objectives.
5. Remain abreast of pertinent economic and regulatory developments and help ensure that the Bank's lending practices are in compliance with government regulations.
6. Provide management direction to department personnel to ensure that all activities are performed in an efficient, effective, and customer service orientated manner. Evaluate the performance of direct reports, conduct evaluation interviews and recommend appropriate salary adjustments, training, education, and possible advancement opportunities.
7. Underwrite credits as needed based on limits established by the Board of Directors.
8. Personally originate commercial loans to ensure accurate, efficient customer service, sound underwriting practices, and compliance with all applicable policies and regulations.
9. Accurately translate market trends and opportunities into meaningful action. Maintain awareness of the Bank's lending policies and practices and optimum market penetration through appropriate competitive rates, terms, and services.
10. Responsible for departmental compliance with laws and regulations which govern the business of the department.
11. Ensure that departmental personnel are adequately trained to comply with laws and regulations.
12. Is responsible for maximizing the cost effectiveness of the operations of the commercial lending department.
13. Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control
Preferred Education and Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
2. Knowledge of Mountain West Bank’s products and services.

Requirements
Required Education and Experience
1. Ten or more years of increasingly responsible experience in commercial lending functions in order to become completely conversant with loan underwriting, processing, origination, and marketing functions, as well as lending regulations and policies.
2. Previous business development and management experience required.
3. Strong personnel management and team building skills

This position has supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise.
Physical Demands
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of travel by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
