Our Valuation Advisory Services practice has an opportunity for a Senior Consultant in our Bethesda, Maryland office which is conveniently located across the street from the Bethesda Metro station. As a part of this dynamic team, you will have the unique experience to work in a collaborative environment on a wide range of valuation projects.
If you have two to four years of valuation experience and are:

Responsibilities:
• Work on business valuation engagements, including valuations for transactions, financial reporting, and tax
• Explore and learn about the different valuation issues in different industries, including fractional interest in real estate, renewable energy, operating business valuations, etc.
• Prepare valuation reports, schedules, and discounted cash flow models
• Review and summarize financial, corporate, and legal agreements
• Conduct financial statement analysis (e.g., common size analysis, ratio analysis, trend analysis, and industry comparative analysis)
• Perform market/ industry research and develop industry growth estimates
• Maintain active communication with supervisors throughout engagements and begin to develop client relationships
Mandatory Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics with a strong interest in pursuing an ASA, ABV, or CFA certification
• 2-4 years of experience preparing business valuations
• Ability to work on multiple engagements simultaneously with competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based environment
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
• In-depth understanding of corporate finance and accounting concepts
• Experience working with Capital IQ and/or the Bloomberg Professional Database
• Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Excellent written, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Ability to work 40 hours per week, or additional hours as required, to meet client needs
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working for one of the Top 20 accounting advisory firms
• Experience providing valuations to external clients
