Responsibilities
• Manage and prioritize the daily workflow of the Reconciliation team to ensure timely and accurate processing of reconciliations and all other responsibilities of the Reconciliation team.
• Manage with a focus on building efficiency in the daily process and streamlining where applicable.
• Perform the daily review and signoff on reconciliations ensuring that reconciling item limits have not been exceeded.
• Review reconciling items to ensure that the proper research was performed and the file was properly documented.
• Identify training needs and perform one-on-one training for new and existing employees.
• Perform all personnel related functions, including applicant interviews, employee orientations, performance counseling, performance/merit reviews and terminations, as required.
• Assist management with identification, development and implementation of policies and procedures and recommend changes when issues are identified.
• Organize and analyze production metrics monthly
Qualifications
• Minimum of 6 years banking experience, which includes 4 years Deposit Operations experience and a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
• Accounting degree preferred but commensurate work experience will be considered.
• Must have a thorough understanding of Deposit Operations and working with the Federal Reserve and other correspondent banking relationships.
• Proven analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to make independent and sound judgment calls on resolutions.
• Proficiency in the use MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook
• Ability to multi-task, detail oriented, and independently prioritizes competing tasks.
• Demonstrates superior oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management and employees using proven customer service skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a proactive style.
• Works as a member of a cohesive team with the ability to tactfully communicate with other employees regarding identified errors, offering assistance to others during peak periods.
• Ability to independently identify document and present recommendations for process changes
