Job Description Summary
Under minimal supervision, performs a variety of advanced-level bookkeeping functions. Responsible for collecting and updating of billing data for the generation and revision of administrative fee invoices.
Responsibilities
• Assists in or prepares worksheets and reports.
• Participates in projects with initial direction. Creates and documents procedures.
• Researches and gathers appropriate information for others or to recommend a solution to an issue.
• Reconcile multiple accounts from one or more accounting- based systems at appropriate timeframes (daily, monthly, and annually). Understands how to fully research out of balance accounts.
• Exhibits a thorough knowledge of where to find information on system (s).
• Oversees various Accounts Receivable functions, including compiling billing data for invoice processing, generating invoices for mailing, issuing billing adjustments, and printing, validating and mailing customer refund checks, and reviewing vendor billing records.
• Interfaces with internal customer service on customer inquiries.
• Resolves questions and guides Accounting Specialist/Associates in their problem resolution. Looks for and understands what issues should be brought to the attention of a higher authority.
• In a Lead capacity, develops new concepts and techniques to improve effectiveness, handles and resolves extremely complex or unique assignments, often exercising independent judgment and initiative. Serves as a resource for others in the same skill area.
Qualifications
• Associates degree or more advanced.
• 5+ years experience.
• Accounting principles required
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelors degree or more advanced
• Takes initiative, ability to meet deadlines, works effectively individually and with a team, customer service approach.
• Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
• Detail-oriented, accurate, ability to easily move from one computer system to another.
