Key Responsibilities
As Product Management Communications Consultant, your primary responsibilities include communication, education and product positioning. Are you able to ensure communication and education are accurate, relevant, up to date, concise, easy to read, and aligned with overall strategic direction? In this role you will:
• Collaborate on creation and maintenance of materials as necessary, including key messages, FAQs, talk paths, leader memos, newsletters, storyboard presentations, Gateway web pages, supplemental resource materials (presentations and job aids), content/style guides, etc.
• Support the design/development of plans, programs, processes, products and processes
• Assist with the analysis and reporting of internal website data
• Solicit input from key partners
• Follow procedures and processes regularly and recommend alternatives or improvements
• Help ensure processes are followed and applied consistently
• Adhere to internal and external compliance requirements / standards
• Perform other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience
• 2+ years of experience required in communications and/or education, content development, and change management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Publisher)
• Experience in insurance industry preferred. Experience in the field or closely connected to the field is a plus.
• Strong speaking and writing skills, with a close attention to detail
• Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills
• Ability to establish a network across the organization to support communications and education
• Ability to develop an understanding of the insurance industry and Allstate’s distribution system
• Ability to gain and maintain knowledge of an evolving product strategy, goals and key initiatives
• Ability to ensure plans, materials and content are timely, relevant, and accurate, and appropriately position individual product features within the suite of product offerings
• Ability to apply creativity and innovation to refresh and refine content and tactics to drive readership and support engagement
• Ability to adapt to change and help others through change
• Continually seeks opportunities for learning and development
• Creative problem solving with strong business judgment
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Journalism or related field or equivalent experience required
