Business Banker Opportunity Overview
The Business Bankerfor Banner Bank plays a key role in growing our Retail Banking revenue by increasing business deposits, loans, treasury management and merchant services. You will focus on the business owners banking relationships and all related accounts.
As a Business Banker for Banner Bank, you will have the opportunity to:
• Conduct outside sales and business development that targets client prospects and retention of existing clients
• Actively develop and manage relationships with business and high value clients
• Promote and market a broad range of bank products and services
• Meet sales volume and/or profitability goals, sales activities and calling goals
• Develop internal and external referral sources through centers of influence, participation in bank events, community activities, and participation in seminars to professional and small business groups
• Be knowledgeable on all company products and make referrals to other areas, as appropriate
• Prepare Weekly or Monthly Call List
• Set-up and coordinate meetings between prospective customers and appropriate line of business partners (Commercial Loan Officers, Branch Managers, Cash Management Representatives, Mortgage Loan Officers, Investment Officers, Outside Affiliated Product Reps)
• Develop and maintain necessary relationships with line of business partners, branch managers and related staff to facilitate a team environment and successful delivery of products and services
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Certifications
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in finance, business, or economics
Experience
• 5 or more years in business banking and business development
Preferred Skills
• Proven ability to develop business relationships
• Strong Networking and relationship management skills
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills
• Working knowledge and understanding of cash management products and services
• Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations relating to commercial lending
