Description
The Performance and Execution Manager is charged with developing and executing strategies that provide a comprehensive assessment of operational processes in an effort to identify gaps and potential risks, focusing on performance improvement and incident prevention. The manager works in conjunction with Operations leadership to implement strategies that support their respective priorities. This is accomplished by strategically focusing on evolving trends, and collaborating to drive desired change that improves the overall effectiveness of the day-to-day operations.
The Performance and Execution Management Manager is accountable for leading the Performance and Execution Management team and managing all activities in which the team is engaged.
This position may seat in either Memphis, TN or Knoxville, TN.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Efficient staffing management – hiring recommendations; determining workload and delegating assignments; training, monitoring and evaluating employee performance; and initiating coaching, corrective and disciplinary actions.
• Establishes and refines processes as necessary to promote optimum efficiency and ensure desired production standards are achieved.
• Establishes and maintains a work environment that is motivational and participative; promotes an environment that supports diversity and Firstpower culture.
• Exercises a wide range of decision making control when presented with multi-faceted factors; identifies, resolves and escalates problems in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develops review strategies that support and complement key risks and evolving processes for Operational units.
• Develops and maintains an effective testing program.
• Documents testing performed and results achieved for Operational units supported.
• Develops and delivers reporting that illustrates potential issues/gaps in processes. Discusses findings with business line management, to include developing an action plan that will satisfactorily address any issues noted.
• Communicates and collaborates effectively with Operational partners to ensure necessary processes and/or procedures are documented to support action plans developed.

• Leads execution of high profile initiatives to reduce risk.
• Manages multiple initiatives effectively.
• Develops detailed plans and timelines.
• Supports merger and acquisition activities for Operational units.
• Coordinates internal and external exams for Operational units, provides responses and requested materials; tracks recommendations to completion and maintains log of exam results.
• Leads regular meetings with Assurance partners to validate SOX controls, update quarterly Enterprise Risk Reporting and ensure transparency between Operational units and Assurance partners.
• Maintains a commitment to continuous learning, developing knowledge and skills to competently and efficiently execute job duties.
Requirements
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary service
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given
• Excellent organizational and customer service skills
• High School diploma required; degree preferred or equivalent experience/working knowledge of multiple business lines supported
Physical Requirements:
• Basic keyboarding or other repetitive motions
• Lifting/pushing objects
• Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with or without the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standard, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday
8:00am -5:00pm
