What does a great Physical Security Manager do?
The Operations Manager, Physical Security performs activities required to ensure the physical protection of sensitive or confidential information, personnel, facilities or other sensitive materials, resources or processes. Additionally, they assist in the development, evaluation, and oversight of installations of protection systems and devices to insure that sensitive information, equipment, and other material is not compromised, subject to sabotage, stolen, misused or subjected to acts of willful interference. They manage and assist in developing efficient, reliable processes which ensure the security of all Fiserv personnel, resources and assets and serve as the primary representative between Physical Security and contract security guard services for the enterprise.

• Ensures operational compliance with company policy, contractual and regulatory standards
• Reviews designs and inspects facilities where sensitive materials will be located
• Evaluates the effectiveness of existing security practices, recommends the type of control requirements, procedures, and facilities needed
• Assists or leads internal and external audits to assure that organizational personnel are adhering to established policy and practices and recommend appropriate action to correct deficiencies
• Ensures that monitoring of physical security processes for facility access systems are performed in a manner consistent of regulatory requirements
• Participates in promoting security awareness programs
• Is directly involved in the installation of security systems projects when needed.
• Is responsible for promoting ongoing vendor relationships.
• Assists where needed to oversee Regulatory, PCI, Client and Internal Audit examinations with each business unit validating that required physical security information is available and timely.
• Directly or indirectly runs on-site security personnel at multiple locations, including security services.
• Provides technical assistance for critical equipment such as EBI and DVM.
• Controls and contains scene of criminal activities until proper authorities have arrived.
• Effectively communicates with all levels of management and coworkers.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE CONSIDERED?
• Degree, (law enforcement, security, business, safety or related field) OR 7 years of experience in field.
• 5+ years of experience in corporate security, law enforcement, security compliance.
• 3+ years of experience taking care of complex security systems and processes.
• You must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
• You must be proficient in all MS Office applications and a strong general knowledge of business, technology, security systems and operations.
• Must be available to be on call 24X7 for emergency responses
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
• ASIS International CPP and/or PSP certifications desired.
• Experience working with card access systems and contract security services.
• Previous experience and knowledge of General safety and security principles and processes;
• Recognized security and safety expertise.
• Project management experience.
• General knowledge of networks, and network based systems.
