Investment Services includes the product management team of Capital Group. Its mission is to recommend strategies and solutions that align the needs of clients with Capital Group’s capabilities. The team manages the existing product portfolio and makes recommendations on new product development and services in support of broader strategic and business objectives.
This role sits within the Product Management function that is focused on the Wealth Management Business. Reporting to the Head of Product Management for the Wealth Business the Product Manager Senior provides strategic oversight for the Mutual fund, SMA, and Model product teams which are tied to the Wealth Management business.
Responsibilities:
• Ensures the offerings are positioned appropriately internally and in the market place, analyzes program data and feedback, assesses program features and market needs, maintains an awareness of competitive offerings and recommends key product changes/enhancements.
• Works with other senior managers and departments to identify opportunities to grow the business
• Ensures programs are competitive and relevant and develops future customer strategies and strategic business capabilities.
• Analyzes the expected business benefits, cost analysis, gap and risk analysis, alternative options considered, the value of an idea, concept, request or potential project including, defining the scope, objective and baseline requirements.
• Manages large-scale initiatives and projects involving complex business products, procedures and goals
Requirements:
• 10+ years of experience working within the Financial Services industry in a leadership role
• 10+ years of experiences of the mutual fund/SMA/Model business and the wholesale distribution model. Exhibits knowledge in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, technology and information affecting the department/business area
• Proven experience in the business planning process, recommending and prioritizing product initiatives and executing program-level plans.
• Deep level understanding of products and business areas, including product construction, rules and regulations, sales and marketing approach and services offered.
• Bachelor’s Degree. Advanced degree (MBA or other) a plus
