• Provide world-class communications counsel to advance issues and initiatives important to our stakeholders.

Major Job Accountabilities:
• Stories of Good Series
◦ Project lead:
# Source all SOG via consulting network: peer leads, Ambassadors, ERGs, CR and HR Partners, etc.
# Pre-Interviews to gauge whether or not the subject would make a compelling story, be engaging on camera and create an emotional connection with other employees.
# Once pre-screens are complete, conduct another interview with the Team People Producer for final vetting.
# Create, manage and execute the logistics/schedule for each shoot day
# Create editorial calendar in partnership with ANOW, clients, embedded communicators and CR partners
# Be adaptable and think outside of the box to look for emerging partnerships to help promote individual stories and the series itself.
# Update Story of Good Web Part every 2 weeks in partnership with the AllConnect team.
• Be a Force for Good and Leadership Principle AllConnect Site:
◦ Manage and create continued content on each AllConnect Site
# Update the Stories of Good in 4 spots on BAF4G AllConnect Site
◦ Track metrics monthly and quarterly for each AllConnect Site
Job Description
• Allstate NOW:
• Meet with ANOW team on a bi-weekly basis to collaborate on distribution channels and timing for content.
• Work with ANOW team to help create targeted content tied to Allstate’s major culture enablers and employee engagement opportunities.
• Allstate TV:
• Work with multimedia team to manage Stories of Good channel on Allstate TV to ensure latest content is featured
• Culture Consulting:
◦ Culture consulting on communications, engagement, positioning and CR specific requests from clients:
# Includes Inclusive Diversity, Customer Experience (Be a Force for Good Week), Talent Leadership & Effectiveness, Leadership Development Program, Executive Development Program, Military Recruiting, Ethics/Compliance, Good Life Team, Leadership Principles Advocates, Purple Purse, Good Starts Young, Good Work University (CR New Employee Orientations) and Corporate Social Responsibility.
# Meet with Inclusive Diversity and Good Life Team consistently
• CR New Employee/Intern Orientations:
◦ Present on Culture at CR New Employee/Intern Orientations as needed
• Member of Enterprise Integration Council (meets monthly to find collaboration and integration points across Allstate)
Hall’s & Walls, Connected Workplace
• Digital Signs:
◦ Content lead all things digital signs related to culture, reputation and strategy in partnership with the Connected Workplace Team and Team People
◦ Templated signs typically take 2 weeks to develop, newly designed signs, up to a month
# Turn over content to internal team on the 1st and 15th of every month to ensure efficiency and meet all deadlines
# Meet with internal team every 2 weeks to discuss upcoming projects and current signage
• AllConnect Footer Quotes:
◦ Source 4-5 employee quotes on the 25th of every month
# Pull from Stories of Good, Allstater Profiles, Volunteer Spotlights, etc.
• Story of Good Web Part :
◦ As above—updates every 2 weeks, via spreadsheet to AllConnect team
• Ecards: consult on creative and culture elements
Ambassadors/Employee Engagement
• Ambassador Newsletter: manage editorial calendar and content for bi-weekly newsletter.
◦ Create content for newsletter on Tuesday, format on Wednesday and distribute on Thursday.
◦ Create a holistic communication by linking to opportunities across Good Work, Good Life and Good Hands
• Assist with ad-hoc Ambassador engagement requests from CR partners/leadership
• Co-lead the overall Ambassador Strategy via moving to an EVP centric program so Ambassadors can live into their personal purpose/passions
• Co-lead Engage@Allstate partnership/effort with Helping Hands, ERG’s, LPA’s and Wellbeing Champions
• Employee Sweepstakes
◦ Ad-hoc needs as an employee engagement tool
• Be a Force for Good Celebration Core Design Team (annually)
Job Qualifications
• Demonstrated passion for people, culture, engagement and purpose.
• Skilled writer, with at least two years of on-the-job writing experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Enjoys a creative working environment and embraces innovative solutions to address client needs.
• Self-starter with the ability to build and manage projects with appropriate supervision and work against aggressive deadlines.
• Experience and/or comfort with metrics/analytics.
• Minimum of a bachelors’ degree is required from a four year college or university with at least two years of related experience in communications
• Ability to synthesize information, make informed decisions and problem solve.
• Ability to research, benchmark and stay up-do-date on what’s new, innovative on engagement/culture (internally and externally).
• Writing:Creative/persuasive writing skills to prepare print/digital material in approved format according to audience needs and communication objectives. Ability to write in brand voice for all audiences. Ability to incorporate key messages and prepare documents which demonstrate knowledge of the audience and subject matter. Develops error-free basic and complex written communications that meet requirements/needs and demonstrates consistent correct usage of grammar and punctuation.
• Counseling/Client Interactions:Experience identifying and recommends opportunities for client, proposes and probes implications of alternative strategies.
• Team Skills:Ability to create cooperative atmosphere to foster teamwork; helps facilitate conversations so all points of view are considered, begins to exhibit leadership skills and maintains diplomacy in pressure or conflict situations.
• Project Management:Develops work plans to organize project into tasks, sequences activities to achieve maximum efficiency, estimates and manages time and budget required to complete tasks. Identifies issues and takes action, while remaining committed to project deadlines and timelines.
• Presentation Skills:Delivers presentations effectively and with confidence at the client, team and department level.
• Reputation and Brand Management: Knowledge of identifying reputational risks that have or could have impact on overall business performance and Allstate’s reputation.
• Internal Communication Skills:Experience in developing and implementing internal communication strategies that create an understanding of corporate strategy/priorities, providing context on issues and initiatives, building employee engagement, and helping people to understand their role and how it contributes to the success of Allstate.
