The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full-cycle Human Resources support and consulting to multiple teams within Bedrock. The team member is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.
Responsibilities
• Act as a true business partner to one or more business “categories” within Bedrock (e.g., Business Support, Development, Property Management)
• Coach and train team leaders in key HR skills and processes, including recruitment and selection, coaching, performance management, compensation and salary administration, ensuring that they achieve competence in core people management skills
• Provide guidance and direction on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning
• Manage and resolve complex team member relations issues, which includes conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations
• Assist in the development, implementation and communication, as well as maintenance, of human resources policies and procedures
• Align business objectives with team members and management in the designated business category
• Attend and actively participate in team meetings within the designated business category
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of team members, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance (partnering with the Legal team as needed/required)
• Act as a team member champion and change agent
• Collaborate with members of other HR pillars to assess and anticipate HR-related needs
• Communicate needs proactively within the full HR team and business management while seeking to develop integrated solutions
• Formulate partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and team members that reflect the business objectives of the organization
• Maintain an effective level of business literacy about the business category’s financial position, its midrange plans and its culture
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources management or a related field
• HR certification(s) highly preferred
• 5+ years of proven experience at the HR business partner level
• Experience effectively handling sensitive and difficult scenarios while maintaining confidentiality
• Ability to multitask and prioritize while still being agile and adaptable
• Demonstrated success and documented results from serving business clients
• Experience in developing and implementing change initiatives
• Strong coaching and consulting skills with a track record of quickly gaining credibility and partnering collaboratively with business leaders
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence
• Experience and comfort working independently in a fast-paced and empowered environment
