DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Operations, Coverage, Capital Raising & Financing (OPER/FIN) is a global organization covering the management of structured finance portfolio transactions. The Structured Finance Portfolio Management team manages transactions/portfolios post-closing for Project Finance, Leveraged Finance, Media & Telecom Finance, Commercial Real Estate, Metals & Mining Finance, Reserve Base Finance, Asset Finance and Export Finance. The group supports the business lines in all aspects of portfolio management, including administrative agency management, credit risk monitoring and reporting, client relationship support, and management reporting.
Mission
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsibility for portfolio management functions supporting GLFI/LNI/LBO (Leveraged Finance), GLFI/LNI/TMT (Media & Telecom Finance), GLFI/NAT/Reserve Base Finance, GLFI/NAT/APF (Oil&Gas), AFI/REL, GLFI/NAT/MMF and GLFI/IAB (Infrastructure) business lines.
• Process amendments, waivers, and consents for assigned transactions, including obtaining all required internal credit approvals.
• Prepare periodic annual and quarterly credit reviews (including financial covenant analysis) for assigned accounts.
• Assist in the closing of transactions with front office and back office, reviewing and vaulting documentation.
• Responsible for credit monitoring and reporting including SG Watch List Triggers, Early Warning Indicators and Leveraged Lending.
• Work with Loan Sales & Trading/Syndications in sell-down of exposures and processing assignments by participants in SG-agented transactions.
• Prepare reports and responses to management inquiries on portfolios.
• Assume lead role in assigned projects.
• Assist in internal and external audits and examinations of portfolios.
• Participate in workout of troubled portfolio credits.
Profile
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Required/Must have:
• Fluent with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
• strong aptitude for learning and managing SG desktop applications, notably

Desired/Plus:
• Knowledge of leveraged finance, energy asset based lending and project finance sectors/markets.

PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE
Required/Must have:
• Minimum 2-5 years banking experience, preferably in either leveraged finance, project finance, commercisal real estate and/or other structured finance environment.
Desired/Plus:
• Experience working with troubled credits, including workouts.
EDUCATION
Required/Must have:
• Bachelor’s degree.
Desired/Plus:
• MBA, CFA or
• Formal credit training program.
