Reporting to the Head of North American Distribution, the Head of Key Accounts will lead a team of senior relationship managers and relationship managers in their roles as primary day-to-day contacts for all intermediary investment management clients including broker dealers, independent brokers dealers, private banks, recordkeepers, clearing platforms and TAMPs. The incumbent will oversee the effective communication and relationship management of all company clients. S/He will lead the relationship managers in developing and executing proactive, creative, and ongoing contact initiatives intended to identify and satisfy client needs. The incumbent will work with portfolio managers, client service managers, product specialists and sales staff to develop and implement policies and procedures for serving existing intermediary clients. Additionally, s/he will be responsible for effective communication and relationship management of all distribution channels that the company services. Other significant areas of focus are the continued professional development of the team; continue the evolution of the team support structure; support existing and create new management tools that enable the status of the client base to be known; support existing and new initiatives (i.e. client retention, client rationalization, etc.).
Qualifications
The qualified candidate will possess a BA or BS degree in business, economics or similar advanced degree; MBA or CFA designation. S/He will have ten plus years experience in the investment field, exceptional interpersonal, leadership and management skills, attention to detail and ability to effectively follow-up and resolve issues required. Broad knowledge of the intermediary investment industry, securities markets and investment relations also required.
