Job Description
The role is responsible for financial modeling, analysis, forecasting, and reporting at Ally Insurance. This position will provide support for the annual business plan and regulatory stress test processes. The candidate will work closely with the business to understand monthly financial and business trends/results. This role is instrumental in recurring management reporting processes. This position will provide opportunity to interact with senior leaders of Ally Insurance. Additionally, this position will participate in special projects and ad-hoc analysis that support business initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
• Maintain forecast models/processes for volume, revenue, loss, expense, and balance sheet
• Coordinate with the business on key forecast and business plan assumptions
• Prepare annual business plan and regulatory stress test volume and financial projections and documentation
• Analyze actual financial results and variances to forecast/business plan
• Work with business partners on new product implementations/changes and assess impact on financial results
• Support product and customer profitability analytics processes
• Compile, maintain and publish management reporting related to volume, revenue, loss, and expense trends
• Lead special projects and complete ad hoc requests
Qualifications
• BS/BBA degree in Finance/Accounting or related field required
• Preferred 3+ years previous work experience in Finance, Accounting or related field
• Proven track record of driving accurate and timely results with minimal ongoing direction
• Ability to organize data, perform independent analysis and provide explanations to management
• Motivated/self-starter looking to make a difference
• Ability to drive change and initiate/execute process improvements
• Energetic and inquisitive, quick learner, takes initiative
• Exhibits analytical curiosity
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
• Strong presentation building skills (MS PowerPoint)
• Ability to influence others and work effectively to collaborate in a cross-functional matrix environment
• Advanced MS Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.) required; SAS experience desired
