Description
The Financial Writer will join the broader Marketing organization as a member of the Content team at Voya Investment Management. The Content team is responsible for the development and maintenance of thought leadership and product marketing collateral to support sales and client retention efforts across both the institutional and intermediary distribution channels.
Responsibilities
• Partner with channel marketing, sales and investment teams to produce thought leadership that connects Voya’s most compelling research with sales goals and priorities
• Translate sophisticated investment concepts into concise, compelling copy focused on solving the challenges of Voya’s institutional and intermediary clients
• Distill longer-form thought leadership into short, punchy copy appropriate for a variety of digital platforms, including email, website and social media
• Contribute to idea generation, working closely with investment and sales teams to ensure alignment on content creation and messaging
• Leverage internal investment research to create timely insights in support of Voya’s key sales initiatives
• Develop content to enhance product marketing collateral as needed
• Copy edit and fact check quarterly performance commentaries as needed
• Ensure consistency in the company’s voice, key messages and editorial style across markets, channels and media
• Enforce superior quality control to ensure the accuracy of all content as well as consistency with firm style and brand
Requirements
• 4-8 years of experience in a marketing/writing role with a financial services company
• Excellent organizational and time- and project-management skills; ability to keep yourself and others on track in a fast-pace, high-volume environment
• Strong writing, editing, communication and presentation skills, including the ability to tailor materials for various audiences/levels of sophistication
• Strong grasp of investment concepts, products and the asset management industry; ability to interpret investment research to support and create performance proof points
◦ Deep understanding of fixed income markets is a plus
• Proven success in establishing and nurturing relationships with investment and sales professionals
• Creative, proactive problem solver able not only to identify areas for improvement but also to address them
• Highly flexible; comfortable working with changing timeframes and short deadlines
• Keen attention to detail
• Enthusiasm and eagerness to own assignments
• Focus on teamwork and cooperation/coordination
• Effective knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
