Job Summary
The Senior Client Relationship Consultant (SCRC) provides leadership and support to business partners across the Retirement Services enterprise within Tax-Exempt Markets (TEM). The SCRC will work closely with partners across Sales, Relationship Management and the local Field Management in support of new business, retention, revenue improvement and operational goals.
Profile Description
1. Leverages an extensive knowledge of the Voya DC product suite to support the strategic operation and growth of existing client’s plans. Develops a deep knowledge of the Tax Exempt markets and various competitors to effectively position Voya Financial. In partnership with Client Relationship Management, Sales and other internal partners; the incumbent supports the development of responses that highlight capabilities and relationship details in RFPs, RFIs and Finals presentations to favorably position the firm to retain business.
2. Partners with Finance, Actuarial and Sales/Client Relationship Management to evaluate and negotiate plan design/investment and product changes to achieve optimal pricing strategies that maximize client value while meeting and exceeding Voya’s profitability metrics. Evaluates the impact of fund family and share class changes, the availability of investments within the various product offerings and can effectively articulate the impact of such changes with business partners. Partners with Operations and Client Relationship Management to effectively execute the Contract Holder Direction Letter process.
3. Develops and executes custom and standardized reporting, periodic plan reviews and analysis that support strategic discussions with existing clients.
4. Acts as Subject Matter in various areas of the DC business as it relates to the strategic operation of a plan. Acts as a contract/product expert to assist with the evaluation of customer complaints or issues, identifying financial impact if any and effectively communicating a decision on behalf of the business.
5. Assumes responsibility for actively supporting the on-boarding of new team members. Works to help develop appropriate training materials and job aides, conducts hands-on training with new team members and when appropriate acts as a back-up for the Client Relationship Manager.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Indicate the education level, previous experience, specific knowledge, skills and abilities required to meet the minimum entry-level requirements for this position. This may include special skills, licenses, certificates, etc.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 7+ years client management, product management, contract analysis, finance experience
• Excellent problem solving, strategic thinking, decision making skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to articulate concepts and processes in their entirety
• Must be proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively
• Ability to manage to multiple audiences and timelines
