Position Description
SEI (NASDAQ:SEIC) is a leading global provider of investment processing, investment management, and investment operations solutions that help corporations, financial institutions, financial advisors, and ultra-high-net-worth families create and manage wealth.
The Investment Performance Support team is dedicated to providing back office investment performance solutions to investment managers and advisors. Primary responsibilities include reconciling pricing, transactions (including corporate actions), position data and analyzing portfolio rates of return for accuracy. The position requires the ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet daily deadlines, excellent communication and computer skills. Prior experience in investment performance is required.
Job Description
• Reconcile holdings, transactions and prices received from technology platform (SWP and Trust 3000).
• Analyze portfolio rates of return vs benchmarks and peers to ensure accuracy.
• Create and maintain household, strategy and investment manager composites.
• Create and maintain blended benchmarks and benchmark packages.
• Participate in user acceptance testing for vendor code releases.
• Assist clients with service related inquiries including generating investor ready performance reports.
• Participate in new client implementations.
Position Requirements
• BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or Economics or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum 5 years financial industry experience required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in any of the following: investment performance, portfolio accounting, securities analysis, portfolio management, project management.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Excellent organizational and problem solving skills.
• Dedication to quality customer service for both internal and external customers.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, as well as in a team, in an open floor environment.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of SQL a plus. GIPS knowledge a plus.
• Previous experience in portfolio accounting, corporate actions, income processing or investments a plus.
• Ability to work in an environment in which processes and procedures are actively evolving.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the work environment may require an individual to move around the office and from building to building which may expose the individual to weather conditions outside. The individual has to be able to sit or be stationary at a computer and use computers for extended periods of time and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The noise level in the environment is moderate and the individual must be able to communicate and exchange information in person and over the telephone and email.
