As an Internal Product Consultant you will act as Product Management’s primary liaison into our Agile SCRUM-based software development lifecycle. As a key member of the product portfolio Core Program Team, you'll facilitate the successful delivery of product releases that best achieve release goals and improve business value for over 1,000 Financial Institutions and provides services to millions of consumers.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
As the Product Management representative responsible for turning the product roadmap into reality, you will be accountable for:
Translating the Quarterly Roadmap Vision into Execution Plan
• Work closely with the cross-functional team to gain a solid understanding of the product vision, business goals and client and end user needs and how these will be met through delivery of the product roadmap
• Bring team members and partners together to translate high level product concepts and business requirements into features and an initial software product backlog
Supporting the Delivery of Roadmap
• Use Agile development standard methodologies to ensure timely and quality delivery of new software functionality
• Work closely with your peers as they handle a balanced product backlog to ensure a deep understanding of project objectives and priorities throughout the development cycle
• Prioritize and balance work within your team in an environment with many challenging priorities
• Collaborate and coordinate with intra- and inter-Division teams to identify dependencies and facilitate resolution of issues and delivery roadblocks
• Provide Program and end-to-end release level oversight and support
• As product SME, support internal teams including sales, implementation, training, and customer support teams through activities such as product knowledge transfer sessions, participating in product demonstrations, and responding to information requests
• Collaborate with internal team members, support completion of release readiness activities for each project including implementation, training, and customer support readiness, marketing activities, technical documentation, reporting, and client communications
Drive continual improvement of the product delivery process
Required Qualifications:
Job Related Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years of Product experience in technology/software
• Financial services experience focused on digital banking preferred
• Agile SCRUM training, related certifications, and prior experience running a Product Owner team preferred
• Thorough understanding of standard software development lifecycle for enterprise software applications
• Thorough understanding of scrum framework and agile methodologies and team roles and responsibilities in a SCRUM-based environment
• Experience effectively working with geographically distributed teams preferred
Additional Skills/Knowledge:
• Extraordinary ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• BS/BA preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
• Ability to quickly establish credibility and rapport with a broad set of constituencies
• Strong results orientation with demonstrated track record of success
• A high degree of adaptability/flexibility
• The ability to excel in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment
Travel Required:
• Up to 10%
• Flexibility to work with US-based and offshore teams as needed
