Area of Responsibility
• Client Service
◦ Observes assigned area(s) for damage, etc., and reports to supervisor items needing attention: makes simple repairs and adjustments including unstopping toilets, light janitorial/housekeeping, etc. as requested.
◦ Comply with work order system to include interpreting work orders, performing work requested and completing work orders per instruction.
◦ Complies with all company policies and procedures and adheres to company standards; Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures
◦ Daily close out of assigned work orders and provide weekly updates as needed
◦ Any and all other duties and tasks assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Education/training
◦ High school diploma or equivalent
◦ Preferred: Vocational/apprentice experience preferred
• Years of relevant experience
◦ 1 to 3 years of related experience
◦ Preferred: 5 yrs. Experience as general handyman
• Skills and knowledge
◦ Basic knowledge Carpentry, Plumbing, painting, electric and general building maintenance
◦ Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Physical work requirements and work conditions
◦ Stand and walk for prolonged periods.
◦ Regularly lift, move and/or carry up to 10 pounds; frequently lift, move and/or carry up to 25 pounds; occasionally lift, move and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
◦ Perform overhead work often while balanced standing on a ladder.
◦ Bend, kneel, twist and reach to get to areas difficult to access and/or confined areas like closets, crawl spaces, attics, etc.
