Provide analytical and specialized operational support to assist the supervisor and lender. Process complex transactions for Real Estate lending. Resolve problems and participate developing methods to improve the workflow process within the unit.
Major Responsibilities
• Perform daily and monthly investor reporting tasks, including loan transfers and miscellaneous related processes on MSP servicing system.
• Process reporting and remittances of principal and interest activity, including payoffs, utilizing servicing system and investor systems, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae and others.
• Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of investor portfolio and activity, including the reporting and remittances and related investor cutoff processing.
• Perform loan accounting functions using multiple loan systems. Train less experienced staff on new products and procedures.
• Continuously exercise sound judgment to minimize the Bank's risk exposure. Ensure tasks performed meet regulatory requirements issued for Sarbanes-Oxley, FDICIA, Auditing and Bank policy.
• Adhere to sensitive deadlines and time constraints for daily and monthly processes.
• Assist the supervisor with administrative and operational support.
• Daily Journal processing in PeopleSoft.
• Perform steps to certify the Bank's general ledger to the loan accounting system.
• Analyze and monitor exception reports to avoid unnecessary bank exposure.
Qualifications
• Typically requires a high school diploma or G.E.D and 6 to 7 years of experience in technical experience.
• Excellent PC skills required especially Microsoft office and Excel.
• Accounting background.
• Well-developed written and communication skills.
• Familiar with complex loan documentation and Bank policy.
• Extensive knowledge of GSE, HAMP, MBS Pools, Private Investors, FHA/VA Loans, Conforming Loans, Investor Reporting Concepts.
• Knowledge of mortgage servicing systems and practices, preferably Mortgage Servicing Platform, servicing technology (SBO2000) is a plus.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment, organize work, and adapt to changing needs and objectives in a positive and constructive manner.
