The Benefits Consulting Pension Specialist is primarily responsible for the day to day administration of the retirement plans for our clients and their participants. We are looking for someone to join our great team of professionals, who enjoys a fast paced environment and can provide quality work and a world class customer experience.
The Expertise We’re Looking For
• Bachelor Degree preferred
• 1 to 3 years of business experience preferably within a customer facing role
• Detail-oriented with good mathematical and analytical skills
• Technically inclined with application experience and aptitude (e.g., Excel, Word, Access, etc.)
• Defined benefits experience a plus
The Purpose of Your Role
The Benefits Consulting Pension Specialist is the cornerstone of the participant experience as it relates to the administration of retirement benefits for our client base. This role will frequently partner with our actuarial and consulting groups, call centers, clients, participants and other Fidelity teams to ensure that benefits are paid timely and accurately. The Pension Specialist is at the forefront of the day to day administration of the retirement plans and is a critical component in our service model.

• You are able to work within budgeted timeframes to maintain client profitability without sacrificing quality
The Value You Deliver
• Play an integral role servicing existing and new clients in defined benefit retirement plan administration, including a full range of administrative and operational support services to a variety of defined benefit clients and plan participants in a fast paced and time sensitive environment
• Analyzing, performing, and reviewing non-automated manual calculations
• Setting up defined benefit payments based on participant direction
• Addressing client requests and responding to participant inquiries
• Supporting and participating in special ad hoc projects as needed
