Position Description
The Director of Fraud Support will strategically plan and evaluate the daily activities of the Fraud Operations team to ensure the achievement of the corporate goals for growth, retention, quality service and loss avoidance. The scope of this position includes the management of the personnel within the department as well as interfacing with customers and the various departments, business partners, within deposits and across the enterprise.
Job Responsibilities
• Ensure the effective and efficient completion of daily countermeasures and complementary tasks associated with all loss avoidance strategies.
• Establish and drives the short and long term goals, objectives and financial plans of the bank
• Maintains a strong knowledge of regulatory, legislative and technical aspects of the requirements of the role
• Responsible to ensure full adherence for all administrative and HR guidelines
• Establishes processes that ensure all KPIs are met, including Service Levels, Quality and Training.
• Maintain a strong knowledge of OFAC/BSA/AML requirements and ensure that all transactions are processed in accordance with regulations.
• Ensure all required communications are delivered to the customers.
• Responsible for all tracking and reporting completed by the department and ensure that the reporting meets the audit and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with the various areas within Ally Bank responsible for delivering to its customers a product that meets our brand promise.
• Ensure accuracy, maintenance and completion of file documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Ensures the effective deployment of unit resources.
• Responds to customer and partner issues in a highly professional and effective manner.
• Develop all internal policies, procedures, and customer communications in accordance with established policies.
• Delivers operational efficiencies, potential enhancements and completed full cost/benefit analysis with a goal towards reducing resource utilization and reducing cost structure.
• Provide management reporting and communicates workflow conditions to other areas of the company as needed.
• Responsible for the HR activities associated with the team in regards to providing support of hiring the right staff and maintaining strong bench strength of associates, timely and effective coaching and managing performance issues as needed.
• Interact with Contact Center and Ally Bank customers as needed.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
• A Bachelor Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of 10+ years of banking experience, specifically in a loss prevention environment.
• Thorough knowledge of all regulations and rules pertaining to banking
• Goal oriented and able to multi-task and effectively process diverse workloads concurrently.
• 7 years of working knowledge of banking concepts, rules and regulations.
• 7 years of experience with detection, investigation, recovery and remediation activities.
• 2-3 years' experience working with Matrix organizations.
• Strong managerial, leadership, strategic planning and decision making skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Sound analytical and interpretive skills as well as sound judgment and discretion.
• Ability to recruit, retain and interact with a diverse group of employees.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• CFE preferred
