Job Description:
Under direct supervision, responsible for accounting and/or clerical duties of a complex nature in support of various accounting functions. Responsible for assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual accounting reports/analyses and support documentation. Also responsible for assisting of the posting of journal entries and maintaining the general ledger accounts and reports.
Essential Job Duties:
• Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and related footnotes
• Assist with the collection of data and creation supporting documents.
• Assist with close procedures, including analyzing financial statements and report variance analysis.
• Assist with the calculation and presentation of certain company key metrics.
• Contribute to the compilation and review of internal and external financial reports.
• As needed responsibilities and creation of audit workpapers and communications for independent auditors
• Research / resolve discrepancies
• Perform general administrative functions when needed, including typing correspondence, report maintenance, copying, etc.
• May perform other duties as assigned
Skills, Education and Experience:
• Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
• Minimum 2 years previous accounting experience
• Must be proficient with PC applications such as MS-Excel ad MS-Word.
• Experience with computerized accounting systems a plus.
• Has the capability to work within tight deadlines.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently, as well as within a team environment
• Good communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
