Description
The Human Resource Program Manager is responsible for managing the delivery of annual Human Resource programs, while providing communication and change management oversight. Assists project sponsors through the project initiation and scoping process. Coordinates the resource modeling and prioritization of Human Resource projects.
Primary Responsibilities
• Manages the overall delivery process for annual benefits enrollment, performance management, and compensation by updating project plans as needed.
• Coordinates kick-off and weekly meetings, informing functional resource owners of deliverables, providing project updates and coordinating communication efforts to ensure annual Human Resource processes are delivered efficiently and effectively.
• Ensures Human Resource business partners and key Human Resource stakeholders are informed of the impacts of Human Resource projects by updating and communicating a monthly program dashboard, developing and maintaining a key stakeholder matrix and following-up with functional owners to ensure effective communications occur with identified stakeholders.
• Provides consultative support to projects regarding change management and communications to ensure impacts of initiatives are well received.
• Manages and coordinates all aspects of assigned internal Human Resource projects throughout the project management lifecycle, including project scope, schedule, resources, quality, costs and change by developing detailed project schedules, resource plans, status reports and budget forecasts.
• Ensures the delivery of Human Resource initiatives are linked to business needs, challenges and increases business performance by developing and maintaining a working knowledge of MoneyGram's strategies and operating plans.
• Works with the Human Resources community and business leaders to prioritize and sequence Human Resource projects ensuring initiatives are delivered effectively to the business.
• Builds realistic resource models across the portfolio of projects.
• Includes self in projects where assigned, and builds global Human Resource project management capability through partnering, coaching and planned development initiatives.
• Works with project sponsors to define projects at a high level including scope, timing, resources and costs to ensure expectations can be properly set and projects can be effectively prioritized.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Any combination of relevant education and experience and/or related professional designations/certifications in this field is highly desirable.
Education
• Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree in associated field
Experience
• Strong (5+ years) HR generalist experience and/or PMP or specialist expertise in areas such organization design, talent acquisition, leadership development, performance management, compensation, benefits, workforce and succession planning.
• Must have proven experience in managing and contributing to HR projects.
Essential Skills
• Effective project management skills with a strong understanding of program and project management methodologies.
• Strong presentation skills, written and verbal to all levels internally & externally.
• Exceptional problem solving skills: ability to anticipate issues, recognize problems as they arise, synthesize complex scenarios into key issues, identify appropriate resources needed to determine root cause and quickly find resolutions.
• Strong change management approach and openness to change.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time and multiple commitments/projects simultaneously.
• Must have a strong sense of ownership and ability to prioritize work.
• Experience effectively managing change and developing new processes in a dynamic environment.
• Thrives in ambiguous, fast pace and deadline-driven environments.
• Ability to motivate project teams to build team morale and group commitment to project goals and deliverables.
• High proficiency with MS tools, Microsoft OneNote is preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and/or sensitive business information.
