As part of a team of other dedicated HR Partners, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations and other HR specialists, this role will primarily support leaders and employees from some of our new, mature and emerging businesses and affiliates in Thrivent Holdings and Thrivent Church Solutions Group. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy providing thoughtful, tailored advice to leaders in businesses that span a variety of growth stages, products, industries, and workforce compositions. Executor of Change and Effectiveness Strategies:
• Provides consulting and coaching to business and line leaders to effectively shape and execute the people and change agendas required to support business strategy.
• Creates and executes plans to ensure that the business has the structure and leaders it needs now and in the future.
Talent and Organization Effectiveness Coach:
• Guides line managers in the execution of talent processes and programs including acquisition, rewards and recognition, leader and employee growth and development, talent review and succession planning, performance management, etc.
• Provides data and human capital analytics for decision making.
• Measures and reports outcomes of talent actions.
Optimizer of HR Resources:
• Optimizes the use of HR resources including Thrivent COE specialists and our shared services center to provide seamless support and delivery to the business of programs, processes and tools, case management, completion of transactional activities and record keeping.
• Represents the solutions needed of the business to HR and partners in evaluating, modifying and enhancing of existing HR solutions.
Qualifications & Attributes
• Experience in working with business and line leaders to execute on action plans that drive leader, employee and team effectiveness.
• Broad business acumen - understands the business and speaks the language of business.
• Strong performer - reputation for getting things done, getting business results and improving process along the way.
• High degree of personal credibility.
• Demonstrated ability to establish strong working relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and act with the utmost of ethics and integrity.
• Ambidextrous – happy to practice agility and wear multiple hats; thrives on change and ambiguity.
• HR Acumen: Significant recent experience working as an HR Business Partner to senior leaders; knowledgeable in HR solutions and processes, especially organizational design, change, culture, leadership development and talent management.
• Consulting Acumen: high degree of numeracy; comfortable working with and presenting complex data and analytics; influence; leadership; trusted advisor.
• Passionate about assigned businesses’ mission, vision and culture.
• Experience working in financial services and/or with technology and start-ups desirable.
• HR (or related) degree preferred. Professional HR certification(s) desirable.
• Experience with recruiting top, diverse talent preferred.
• Experience supporting Agile work environments desirable.
