Job Family Summary:
The Claims Learning & Development Communications team, as part of the larger education team, provides strategic partnership and communication to the claims business. The team is responsible for the execution and the design, development and coordination of high impact communication solutions.
About the position:
The Graphic Designer is responsible for leading creative conception and production across inventive graphics, strong branding, and engaging presentations for the Claims organization. This individual will be a vital asset in bringing the Allstate Claim story to life through meaningful and considered design.
The designer will collaborate with team members, leadership, and internal experts to envision and produce compelling messages for the members of our organization. Our designers should be ready to lead creative discussions, help manage and coordinate deliverables and ensure the integrity of final deliverables. A successful project would be a perfect blend of business objectives and creative explorations. This individual would be a leader at maintaining that balance through strong consulting practices.
Job Summary
The Claims Communications Graphic Design Lead Consultant is responsible for the creation graphic design for the Claims organization and in support of communication needs for Claims Leadership. The individual in this role will create Claims related illustrations, icons, photos and presentations to support various Claims internal initiatives, strategies and projects through utilization of various multimedia tactics. The individual in this role will be responsible for independently collaborating with multiple disciplines throughout the Claims department such as: Auto, Property, Casualty, Quality, Training and Innovation to take conceptual visions and messaging and bring them to life. The individual continuously seeks new and creative ways of communicating to engage various audiences. The individual delivers compassionate service that is fast, fair, and easy to ensure customer retention. The role works independently, prioritizes the individual's own responsibilities, and manages the individual's own workload. The individual also consistently meets band level behaviors, production, quality and/or customer service goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate directly with leadership and subject matter experts to understand the needs and requirements for a communication
• Be an empathetic consultant and advocate during the creative process
• Provide multiple concepts and defend design decisions made during the process
• Execute on concepts including (but not limited to) icons, page layout, presentation materials, photo retouching, animated GIFs, spot illustrations, email assets, posters, and more
• Manage and coordinate project milestones with teammates and stakeholders
• Provide quality assurance for all deliverables
Job Qualifications
• 5-7 years of mobile/visual design experience in a collaborative environment
• Bachelor's degree in visual or graphics design, BA in related field, or equivalent work experience
• Advanced knowledge of the latest versions of Mac OS, Adobe Applications (primarily Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), and Microsoft Powerpoint
• Is a mindful and skilled presenter
• Think beyond aesthetics and apply problem solving to design
• Create original imagery as necessary to better enhance content narratives
• Ability to work within brand guidelines
• Team-oriented values while being a fun, hardworking, trustworthy and personable
• A self-starter who takes responsibility for the tasks before them
