Description
State and Local Tax (SALT) Experienced Associates serve as members of various client service teams. Experienced Associates receive both formal and on-the-job training to hone and develop their technical knowledge. In addition to the preparation of state and local tax returns, Experienced Associates participate in the state and local tax planning, consulting and controversy for entity and individual clients. Experienced Associates conduct tax research, write memoranda, and prepare client deliverables.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related degree and/or an advanced degree in Accounting, Taxation, JD or LLM;
• A minimum GPA of 3.0;
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience with an accounting firm;
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills;
• Initiative to seek out opportunities in a fast-paced environment;
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
• Strong interpersonal skills;
• Proficient use of technology including MS Excel; and
• Ability to interact with and gain the respect of all levels of internal and client personnel.
