Kearney & Company is currently seeking an Internal Review Specialist to join its Arlington, VA, team. This position will be performing at the Manager level. The Internal Review Specialist will perform internal control reviews based on frameworks such as COBIT, FISMA, and NIST; develop project and test plans; create information request and work papers; and prepare summary reports.
Required Skills:
• Provides complex project level specialized support for management-related issues and concerns
• Ability to identify best practices, effect reengineering, change management, business management techniques, continuous process improvement, root cause analysis, IT-planning, develop/recommend IT performance-based metrics, and organizational development activity
• Has in depth knowledge of the IT industry and industry accepted business processes, procedures and frameworks relating to internal reviews, audits, governance, risk management and internal control such as COBIT, FISMA, A-123, A-130, and NIST frameworks/standards such as CSF and 800-53
• Ability to create process flow diagrams using Microsoft Visio
• Ability to review documentation and perform technical assessments of current control and security practices against policies and procedures
• Ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel and assess clients' satisfaction
• Demonstrate an understanding of auditing/review concepts and apply them to client situations
• Experience serving as an on-site client resource and supporting progress against project milestones to help ensure timely delivery of project deliverables
• Ensures all work products are complete, accurate and conform to client standard
• Ability to foster an efficient, innovative, and team-oriented work environment
• Ability to supervise and review work performed by other staff and interact with senior leadership on client and team matters
• Ability to manage staff through effectively delegating tasks and providing professional and technical guidance
Required Experience:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related business degree in information systems
• Minimum of 5 years of information assurance experience, preferably with federal civilian clients performing IT audits and reviews using FISMA/NIST or ISACA COBIT standards
• Certifications such as CISA (Preferred), CISSP, and/or CRISC
• Demonstrated history of leading IT assessment teams
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, MS Project and MS Visio
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to obtain a U.S. secret level security clearance (requires US Citizenship)
