Job Description
Large Manufacturing Company in Monmouth County Looking for a Payroll Associate
Payroll Associate:
As a payroll associate you will process weekly, semimonthly, biweekly and monthly Payrolls timely and accurately for 2,800 employees and 1,500 Retirees using Paychex and ADP ProBusiness.
Provide reporting and funding to benefit and 401(k) providers, work with HR Service center to ensure pertinent employee payroll information is interfaced to the Payroll system, manage and enforce Time and Attendance policies using Kronos and/or Paychex Flex, address and communicate payroll matters with employees.
Key Responsibilities:
Process weekly, semimonthly and monthly payrolls for all US employees and Retirees
Provide reporting for Vanguard for the company's 401k and match contributions as well as employee loan deductions. Provide and review totals to Benefit providers and coordinate funding wires with Accounting.
Coordinate with HR Service Center to ensure all SAP employee information is passed to payroll accurately and with appropriate backup required for auditing purposes.
Point of contact for SAP to Paychex technical interface issues. Support the HR Business Engineers with the SAP interface and troubleshoot any problems that may occur. Validate all incoming data.
Create and maintain non-exempt employees in our time and attendance system currently Kronos- transitioning to Paychex Flex in Q2 2018. Support managers who edit and approve timesheets. This includes adding new hires, terminating separated employees, changing schedules, adding disabilities, changing employee's positions and giving manager's access to edit/approve timesheets and building ad-hoc queries. .
6.Produce month end reports as requested by Human Resources, Accounting as well as other departments.
Required Skills:
• Payroll processing experience. Time and Attendance experience
Firm understanding of Payroll processing principles
Excellent communication skills.
Must be able to interact with various levels of management.
Must work well under strict deadlines and under a high volume environment where multi-tasking is essential. Confidentiality a must
Preferred:FPC or CPP, Paychex experience, Kronos or other Time and Attendance experience
