Position Description
The DC Key Accounts Account Manager will provide investment coverage for the platform distribution, product and research teams and provide support to both institutional and Retirement Sales Team client facing professionals to strengthen relationships and grow our footprint with DC Platform relationships.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with and receive input from client facing (both institutional and Retirement Sales) to develop and execute business plans designed to increase shelf space for PIMCO strategies on key DC platforms in line with client demand to drive revenue growth
• Actively engage platform distribution business leaders to understand strategic growth goals and to position PIMCO off-the-self and custom strategies to participate
• Support platform client service and research groups in the review of PIMCO strategies employed in DC plans, ensuring they remain in good standing on distribution platforms
• Deliver DC expertise to platforms related to market trends, plan design and solutions. Articulate themes supportive of PIMCO thought leadership and position new solutions
• Provide field support to DC Service Provider wholesalers and client service reps
• Orchestrate PIMCO resources to close new business opportunities
• Identify market opportunities and contribute to the development of new products and strategies related to such opportunities
• Support the development of DC specific marketing and servicing materials to support the retention and growth of assets
Position Requirements
Qualifications:
• MBA or equivalent and an Undergraduate degree with strong academic record
• CFA designation
• FINRA Series 7, 63, and 3 licenses
• Outstanding knowledge of the institutional and Advisor led DC landscape including investor requirements and preferences related to defined contribution plans
• Deep knowledge DC intermediary distribution
• Deep knowledge of DC trends, plan design, competitors, capital markets, and economics
• Ability to communicate information effectively with external clients, as well as within the firm’s demanding and highly focused environment
• Ability to work collaboratively and co-operatively across all key groups of the firm
• Strong presentation and public speaking skills
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
• PIMCO product knowledge
• Existing client and consultant relationships and strong industry contacts
