Position Description
This position is responsible for the facilitation of the end-to-end campus recruitment process including event management, marketing, application and interview process management, offers, reporting, and budgets for both the full-time and summer intern hiring cycles at the undergraduate, masters and Ph.D. levels across all participating businesses in coordination with the global campus recruiting strategies. In addition, this position is part of a broader Early Career Recruiting and Development (ECRD) team, which is responsible for the development and execution of programs for the firm’s junior level talent.
The successful candidate will have a primary focus on the further development of PIMCO’s undergraduate campus recruiting and early career development program and ensure that the overall effort is successful at attracting and developing the best, brightest and most diverse cross-section of undergraduates for the firm. The campus recruiter will work closely with the business line, candidates, university representatives and our global HR colleagues.
Ideal candidates for this position will have a Bachelor’s degree with proven work experience in recruiting, learning and development, or university career services. Campus recruiting, event management, and marketing skills are a plus. The position is based in Austin, Texas and reports to the Global Head of Campus Recruiting.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• End-to-end graduate recruitment process in coordination with the global Campus Recruiting team strategies.
• Develop and maintain relationships with careers services and societies at top global colleges/universities.
• Build partnerships with hiring managers and business recruiting leads in order to aid and advise with recruitment strategy and enhance the delivery of a seamless process.
• Foster recruiting partnerships with our internal clients including school alumni, steering committees and Inclusion and Diversity partners.
• Strategic planning and implementation of the Firm’s diversity initiatives.
• Build PIMCO’s brand on campus through traditional and non-traditional advertising, including but not limited to: the PIMCO website, job posting, event sponsorship, corporate giveaways, direct outreach to students and clubs, and career fair participation.
• Timely and thorough reporting of seasonal Campus Recruiting analytics.
• Facilitate communication and partnership with HR consultants (generalists) globally.
• Be a team player, eager to assist colleagues in any area of Campus Recruiting and Human Resources.
• Plan and execute the Global Summer Internship Program, in partnership with the broader Campus Recruiting team.
• Execute the new hire transition and entry level development programs for all new graduate hires for the Early Career Recruiting and Development (ECRD) team, in coordination with our global strategies.
• On-board new starters including background screening, immigration, travel and logistics.
Position Requirements
Desired candidates should possess the following characteristics:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience
• Excellent technology skills, specifically Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Power Point
• Able to work independently and as part of a team; intuitive, quick learner - willing and able to handle steep learning curve
• Thoughtful and demonstrates good judgment and strong decision-making skills; ethical
• Strong organizational and project management skills; attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize; work on and complete multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to network with various departmental personnel and outside parties
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Have a bias-to-action, results-oriented approach to work; willingness to do whatever it takes to help the team
• Looks to identify and implement efficiencies and process improvements
• Willingness to travel during Campus Recruiting season (September – February)
