SUMMARY
This job provides support and exceptional service for the Asset Based Lending division by assisting with the preparation and submission of Credit Review Memorandums (CRM’s), Waivers, Amendments, and Modifications (WAM’s), Acceptable Credit Reports (ACR’s) and Problem Credit Memorandums (PCR’s). Reviews and ensure the proper processing of all information through the system, and assists Loan Officers, and works with other areas of Asset Based Lending and the Bank to facilitate an organized and efficient system for approving and funding transactions. This job also requires spreading of financial statements into Moody’s or similar system utilized by the Bank.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepares credit approval documents (CRM’s, WAM’s, ACR’s, and PCR’s) in conjunction with the Loan Officer. Provides recommended changes based on experience with the Bank systems, credit policies, and functionality.
• Develops and follows a systematic method to route transactions through the Bank.
• Serves as point person for proper submission of credit approval requests through the Bank’s systems.
• Assists with Trend Card updating, processing and handling, and provides all necessary attachments to credit approval submissions.
• Submits deals within pre-determined turnaround timeframes. Proactively learns and expands knowledge of the purpose and necessity of the legal and business environment surrounding asset based lending including understanding of security agreements, UCC liens, mortgages, federal and regularity requirements (such as FEMA, Reg U, Reg B, etc) to comply with credit approval, internal procedures and credit policy.
• Researches documentation exception items and assists with recommending and implementing solutions regarding the appropriate corrective action required.
• Follows up and summarizes status of covenant spreadsheets maintained by Loan Officers.
• Provides backup for the LDP’s and Loan Officers and helps problem solve or complete special projects as assigned.
• More experienced incumbents act as subject matter expert for the submission and processing of asset based loan transactions through the Bank, CustomLender (or similar system), Commercial Workflow System, Stucky, Fiserv/AS 400, and Moody’s.
• Understands and complies with all Bank policies and procedures, and federal and state laws and regulations pertinent to this position; stays informed and shares updates on changes with management. Required to successfully complete all required Compliance training.
• Continuously supports the Bank’s Mission Statement and Core Values.

Education and Work Experience
2 years of college level courses and four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior loan (analyst, documentation or closing) experience preferred.
Certificates and Licenses
LaserPro certification or comparable certification a plus.
Job –Specific Knowledge
To perform this job successfully, the individual needs to demonstrate knowledge of these areas as they relate to the primary functions of the job.
• Credit- Knowledge of one or more of the following: commercial and consumer credit regulations, policies, and procedures; loan analysis, restructuring, and documentation; collection techniques; structure financing analysis.
• Loan Documentation – Ability to read and interpret commercial loan documents and a solid understanding of loan/ banking terms. Understanding of various entity types (sole owner, partnership, corporations, etc.) as well as various collateral types (real estate, all assets, equipment, negotiable, leases, etc.) and the documents required with each. Strong working knowledge of real estate loans and land trust mortgages. Ability to order and review title, flood, UCC, federal and state tax lien, and pending suit and judgment searches.
Competencies
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies.
• Intermediate knowledge of Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel.
• Experience with Fiserv, CustomLender, LaserPro, CT Lien Solutions or comparable software and loan systems preferred.
• Accurately inputs information into and retrieves from the computer.
• Thorough knowledge of software applications applicable to position/business unit.
• Quickly learns and achieves proficiency in new software applications as needed.
• Acts as subject matter expert and provides training, troubleshooting and other support for software applications utilized by business unit (i.e. CustomLender (or similar system), Commercial Workflow System, Stucky and Fiserv/AS 400, Moody’s).
