Description
Position Summary
This position is responsible for oversight of assigned operations staff supporting business origination activities including: contract issuance, transaction closing, funding review and approval,
vendor/customer service, policy/pricing compliance, and ensuring that company's interests and requirements are met as it relates to equipment lease and loan transactions.
Major Areas of Accountability
• Oversee assigned operations documentation and funding personnel including recruiting, technical and professional training, career planning, performance management, leadership development, recognition initiatives.
• Responsible for compliance within Team with business, corporate, legal and regulatory processes and policies.
• Participation in customer reviews and related project initiatives. Proposes and creates processes and planning for new Sources. Can readily identify processes and procedures related to functional areas for new programs.
• Responsible for ensuring that Team and individual staff performance aligns with achievement of business and customer goals.
• Actively manages daily workflow to ensure that turn around time and accuracy commitments are met on a continual basis. Promotes and provides guidance to the Team in order for them to be successful in the creation and closing of transactions in a manner that will exceed our customer's expectations.
• Responsible for ensuring staff receives timely updates on process, policy, business initiatives, including ensuring that Ops website content is accurate and current. This includes but is not limited to creating, communicating and maintaining operations staff meeting agenda, meeting minutes and operational reference tools. Includes being responsible for working with Compliance and/or Legal department for overall updates, procedure changes or development and resolution of issues.
• Responsible for functioning as Team's Subject Matter Expert on policy, products, tax, pricing, systems, and programs.
• Proposes processes and initiatives needed within the Team and Operation's Department. Expected to actively participate in a variety of initiatives/projects.
• Participate in due diligence events and develop staff expertise to contribute as required.
• Assists with Documentation and Funding functions as needed
• Perform other projects and initiatives, as required, in order to enhance the effectiveness of the operations team and contribute to continuing improvement of overall company performance.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
• Four-year business degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5-7 years commercial contracts experience or work experience in a related position.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise and direct others.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Proactive; readily seeks out solutions
• Is a positive role model and motivates others
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
• Makes sound business judgments
• Excellent customer service providers. Can ensure Team is meeting and/or exceeding customer expectations on a continual basis
• Knows how to make business decisions while maintaining a healthy balance between meeting the needs of the customer with protecting the interests of TCFEF.
• Good PC and technical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 2-3 years supervisory experience
• Previous equipment finance experience a plus.
• Solid understanding of finance operational processes.
