Operations Specialist
Opportunity Overview
As an Operations Specialist with Banner Bank you will be responsible for ensuring that all bank transactions are recorded and entered correctly in the bank core processing system. You will get to work with bank branches to correct any errors within the core processing system.
As an Operations Specialist with Banner Bank you will have the opportunity to:
• Perform Bank Start-of-Day Processes for multi-bank environment
• Process Viewpointe Settlement Entries
• Complete Branch Capture operations
• Balance and repair POD Transactions
• Create corrections when transaction is out of balance
• Monitor Item count and branch information statistics
• Import and Export files from Endpoints for processing
• Import numerous daily files for internal processes (such as ATM Deposits, Snapshot Deposit and RemoteDeposit)
• Perform initial risk review of ATM and Snapshot Deposit items and communicate exceptions to branches
• Process credit card payment transactions (lockbox)
• Process Return Letter for Exception Items
• Cash Letter Preparation – Balance and provide accurate totals for Accounting
• End of Day Balancing – Balance run totals
• Perform Bank End-of-Day Processes for multi-bank environment
• Communicate with technical support to troubleshoot software/hardware problems
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Certifications
• High School diploma or GED required
Experience
• 1 or more years of clerical and/or customer support experience required
Preferred Skills
• Good interpersonal and phone etiquette skills
• Analytical ability and problem-resolution skills
• Effective time-management skills
• Ability to understand and follow standard practice or verbal instructions, use simple arithmetic, and keep records
• Proficient with10-key by touch; demonstration may be required
• Proficient in MS Windows, Word, Outlook and Excel
• Knowledge of federal and state laws/regulations relative to deposit accounts and bank operations
