Payroll Coordinator I
Job Overview:
The Payroll Coordinator assists in the management of all payroll functions. Specifically, this position is responsible for processing payroll, managing the time and attendance system, and responding to payroll related needs and inquiries.
Typical business work hours are 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday with periodic weekend and/or evening work to be expected. As the Payroll Coordinator, you will be expected to demonstrate a sense of urgency, willingness to work closely with others, and be part of a team whose primary focus is to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations. At times, the Payroll Coordinator will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers, which can cause muscle strain.
Position Requirements:
1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred.
2. Minimum of 3-5 year’s work experience in a payroll environment required; 5 years’ work experience preferred.
3. ADP experience preferred.
4. Intermediate to advance computer proficiency skills with MS Office, Excel; word processing programs.
5. Excellent interpersonal & customer service skills; written and oral communication skills and ability to demonstrate control, flexibility and maintain quality and high productivity when dealing with vendors and changing work demand. Effective listening communications skills.
6. Demonstrate good attention to detail and high level of accuracy, good judgment showing logical decision making, good analytical and problem solving skills with a hands on approach, and very effective organizational skills.
7. Ability to multi-task and operate in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
8. Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.
