Research Intern, Raleigh/Charlotte
The Research Intern will be a member of the Carolinas research team and will provide auxiliary data support. The position will be based in Charlotte, NC and no significant travel will be required. The role will have the following responsibilities:
What this job involves:
• Content development & visual depictions of data & analysis
• Understanding, consolidating and analyzing data from spreadsheets
• Creating dashboards, reports and charts in Excel
• Maintains and updates existing databases with the end-goal of achieving data quality and accuracy
• Responsible for specific areas of database information, including compiling statistics and tracking select companies’ manufacturing, distribution center, and office locations
• Work closely with a manager in supporting ongoing projects
• Occasionally assist with preparation of client deliverables and presentations
• Documentation of real estate site-photos for Marketsphere database
• Data quality assurance and updates
• Assist with preparation of client deliverables and presentations that influence and provide impact for the client.
Sound like you? Before you apply it’s worth knowing what we are looking for:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in business, economics or related field degree with excellent academic credentials;
• Interest in data analytics
• Interest in commercial real estate research analysis
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills
• Highly proficient in Excel, database management and Web-related searches
• Ability to work independently and within a team structure
• Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure, and effectively manage time and workload
• Experience with CoStar and other commercial real estate databases and analytics is a plus
• A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative and driven professional environment
