JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for contributing to the Community Bank training efforts for Banc of California and will have the ability to work closely with the business to translate professional development needs into high impact, high quality training classes. Assist in designing, implementation and training classes within the organization that support Banc of California’s mission statement and core values, goals and objectives. In addition to; will ensure employees in Community Banking reach their highest potential by providing training that offers opportunities to develop skills, enhance productivity, quality of work and builds loyalty to the organization. Facilitate training so that it is engaging, fun and retained. Performs all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist in the development and design course content to facilitate learning and deliver both instructor-led training and e-learning curriculum.
2. Create effective, innovative and highly interactive training to address employee and management development needs.
3. Work closely with HR, compliance, and other groups to identify training and development needs on a number of topics, including communications, leadership and management.
4. Assist in the development, customize, and implement learning that is specific to Community Bank audience needs.
5. Use knowledge in instructional design methods, including conceptual knowledge and application of adult learning theory in producing relevant training materials.
6. Partner with subject matter experts to identify gaps or training needs and develop internal training classes.
7. Assist with creating training materials that are in accordance with business writing standards for the Community Bank Groups.
8. Deliver evaluation metrics to assess impact of training efforts using the four levels of evaluation (reaction, learning, behavior, results) as measurable benchmarks.
9. Disseminate mandatory training compliance modules and track employee's completion of same.
10. Will drive to different Community Banking work locations to conduct training classes.

Qualifications
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position including but not limited to the following: Regulation Z (Truth in Lending Act), Regulation B (Equal Credit Opportunity Act), Fair Housing Act (FHA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) in conjunction with the USA PATRIOT Act, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Customer Information Program (CIP), Right to Financial Privacy Act (RFPA, state and federal) and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA).

• Intermediate experience, knowledge and training in all operational and lending activities and terminology.
• Must have knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations, Bank operational policies and procedures, and the Bank's products and services.
• Proven ability to effectively train and facilitate in a formal classroom or one-on-one environment.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Advanced skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; intermediate typing skills to meet production needs of the position.
• Current California driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR LICENSES:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or related field
• A minimum of 2 years’ of experience training in the financial industry, specifically Community Banking knowledge; or the equivalent combination of education and experience and should consist of a strong background in speaking and training large group. Work related experience should consist of an in-depth background in Bank Secrecy Act compliance.
