Overview of the Role
Janus Henderson PLC is a large global investment management firm. The firm entered the exchange-traded products (ETP) space with its 2014 acquisition of Velocity Shares, a leading ETP company based in Darien, CT. As part of its effort to build out the ETP business, the company seeks a product specialist to drive adoption and AUM across all Janus Henderson ETPs.
The Janus Henderson ETP Distribution Team works with clients across multiple market channels (Hedge Funds, Institutional, Banks, RIA, Independents, Wires, etc..) and geographies. The group works with clients directly and in conjunction with the Janus Henderson global distribution teams across channels. The position is based in Darien, CT.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Represent all Janus Henderson ETPs as an expert in both structure and design.
• Educate clients with respect to the strategies driving Janus Henderson ETP returns and product placement within a portfolio framework.
• Identify and connect with prospective investors either directly or indirectly via the Janus Henderson distribution teams.
• Serve clients in an advisory capacity for Janus Henderson ETPs, functioning as a consultant and thought leader to add value within a risk-adjusted framework.
• Work with Janus Henderson ETP Quant Team to create analytical tools and analysis to help drive client education and adoption across all Janus Henderson ETPs
• Play a central role in presenting the Janus Henderson ETP business to clients and partners.

Technical Skills and Qualifications
• Excellent client facing skills
• Broad understanding of finance, derivatives, portfolio theory, and enhanced beta strategies
• High technical proficiency (ETF trading/capital markets)
• Client facing sales and/or product specialist experience
• A college degree is required
• An advanced degree (MBA) or professional designation (CFA) is preferred, but not required
• Series 7 and Series 63 is required. Other securities licenses may be required during the normal course of employment
Ongoing competence in the role to be assessed by:
• Annual Performance Appraisal
• Completion of all assigned Compliance training
Working Environment/Physical Activities
• Overtime may be required on short notice and may include evening, weekend, holiday hours
• Typical office environment with PC, telephone, copier, fax machine, etc.
