Role Value Proposition:
Global Operations (Global Ops) focuses on creating positive experiences for MetLife customers and helping the company make the best use of its global resources. We’re looking for unique talent with fresh perspectives that can propel innovation. In this role you will provides information and helps resolve user problems regarding department systems. Acts as a liaison between the business and IT personnel to support the unit’s technology needs; represent user area in all system enhancements and design activities. Reviews user requests, conducts data gathering interviews, documents business specifications, and manages technology projects until completion.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversees all aspects of small projects and/or phases of larger projects.
• Serves as a liaison between the business and the IT area, translating business needs into application software requirements.
• Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
• Runs or assists with project meetings.
• Provides updates to business leadership regarding project status and the application and implementation of technology.
• Determines specific business application software requirements to address business needs and analyses and designs solutions.
• Designs, implements, and monitors the progress of initiatives, milestones, and budgets to ensure timeliness and deliverables are met.
• Manages critical relationships with IT, consultants and vendors, internal end users, and business customers/leadership.
• Provides information to end users to help resolve problems regarding assigned systems.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Required Experience:
• 2-4 years of related work experience
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
• Strong Time Management and organization Skills
• Coordinating requirements with IT; conducting testing for enhancements/releases
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to learn new technology tools
• Initiative-driven with a desire to see all requests through to completion
• Ability to manage projects and multiple tasks in order to meet deadlines and produces results
• High School Diploma
Preferred Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience.
