Job Overview/Responsibilities:
We are seeking Associate level candidates for our New York based Emerging Markets FX (EMFX) trading team. Contribute to and help achieve market making objectives by working directly with FX sales teams and focusing on the following job functions:
• Execute EMFX transactions with customers and independently manage accompanying inventory.
• Collaborate with Sales team to develop hedging solutions for the Bank’s customers.
• Manage PL attributions and daily position reports ensuring timely distribution to senior management.
• Responsible for all trade lifecycle events.
• Develop trading tools and contribute to system platform upgrades and testing.
• Conduct market research and communicate with Trading and Sales teams.
Qualifications
We Require:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent comparable work experience
• Minimum of 2 years of FX experience; preference for experience trading emerging markets currencies
• Extensive regulatory knowledge (Dodd-Frank, Volcker, SEFs, et al)
• Experience as a team player in a global organization and a willingness to be an active contributor
• Solid operational skills with strong attention to details and high operational accuracy
• Basic knowledge of G10 rates and FX options beneficial
• Familiarity with macro and micro economics
• Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus, but not required
