Profile Summary
Responsible for managing all product development activities for the Corporate Markets business (Small-Mid, Large, Mega markets), including the creation and management of a product / services strategic roadmap that supports and informs the business strategy.

• Direct and influence the development and management of a product and services roadmap aligned to customer and market needs and organizational direction.
• Recommend changes to product features, recordkeeping services, and intermediary services through market research and ongoing analysis of sales results in light of changing competitive and market conditions.
• Initiate and champion ideas for new products and services. Develop business cases as appropriate which include a cost benefit analysis, and factor into prioritization discussions.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and demographic and regulatory changes and recommend changes as necessary.
• Monitor and report on competition to evaluate position in the marketplace and identify potential threats and new ideas; ensure senior management decisions regarding proposed changes are made with full knowledge of the competitive environment.
• Communicate with sales team and distribution channels to identify issues and opportunities regarding competitiveness and ease of doing business.
• Implement new products and services in close partnership with Corporate Markets team and functional areas.
• Partner with project management team to ensure effective implementation of new products, product features and services.
• Manage product development projects to meet budget and establish escalation process for unfavorable variances above an established tolerance.
• Train and develop product development staff. Provide leadership and direction for team. Set project priorities, monitor progress and ensure quality control by using the principles of the Continuous Improvement management system.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
• 10+ yrs. experience in the financial services , preferably the 401(k) market
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, MBA preferred
• Broad knowledge of 401(k) industry products, distribution channels, and services
• Detailed knowledge of 401(k) competitive landscape
• Highly motivated and creative problem solver
• Strong leadership skills; ability to motivate and lead a cross-functional team where some members will not have a direct reporting relationship
• Ability to effectively prioritize competing demands, and to partner with Sales and Relationship management teams
• Ability to communicate complex issues in a clear way to peers and senior executives
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
