Supports the bank’s mission and business plan by implementing digital and social media strategy under the direction of the department management. Responsible for the identification, planning, packaging, production and distribution of content that promotes CoBank's brand and service offerings on the bank’s owned (web site and posts), paid (online advertising) and social media platforms. Executes social media and web site tactics, and monitors and analyzes the online community supporting CoBank’s enterprise digital communications and marketing initiatives. Coordinates closely with external and internal communications, corporate social responsibility, government affairs, human resources, marketing, design and events teams to advance the bank’s business objectives. Serves as an in-house resource for other divisions seeking to implement social media strategies or other digital initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Monitors social media channels for mentions of CoBank, Farm Credit, cooperatives, etc.
• Maintains web, social media and targeted email editorial content calendar.
• Writes and publishes content on CoBank’s website, intranet, social media and targeted email channels.
• Ensures compliance with bank user guidelines on all digital platforms.
• Provides guidance and support to the bank’s human resources division in marketing the bank as an employer of choice across multiple digital platforms, including social media.
• Provides guidance and support to the bank’s lines of business in marketing the bank as an lender of choice across multiple digital platforms, including social media.
• Assists in ensuring compliance with FCA regulatory requirements.
• Provides technical advice and support to other teams and divisions regarding implementation of digital communications strategies.
• Develops regular reports with quantitative data and qualitative assessments of the effectiveness of digital communications strategies.
Basic Qualifications
• Associate’s degree in Media Management, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or relevant discipline.
• Three (3) or more years of relevant experience in a corporate business environment; or appropriate combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of and experience using social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube.
• Ability to develop and manage a content calendar.
• Ability to generate content for social media sites.
• Working knowledge of digital and social advertising platforms, tools and campaigns.
• Working knowledge of HTML and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Working knowledge of website analytics tools.
• Working knowledge of search engine optimization.
• Working knowledge of email marketing platforms.
• Ability to work well with team members and the department’s internal customers, including the department's internal customers across the bank.
• Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word and Excel)
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent detail and customer service orientation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Availability for occasional work outside normal business hours.
• Availability for occasional travel.
