Job TitleSr Financial Analyst
About the Role:
Overall responsible for performing financial analysis for Fiserv Credit Union Solutions, including preparation, development and analysis of management financial information in a multi-site, decentralized organization. This individual will be responsible for managing the Company’s financial monthly close, and forecast processes, annual budgeting process, operating plan variance analysis and special projects. S/he will provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management including preparing financial presentations, analysis and other projects requested by senior management. This function acts as the analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support ‘optimal’ business decision making.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
• Participates in Financial Planning & Analysis Function for a $600M operating unit of Fiserv
• Performs monthly close and forecast process
• Creates and maintains financial models used for forecasting functional expenses such as labor,
• Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for functional leaders within Credit Union Solutions
• Supports creation of annual and multi-year strategic plan
• Monitors and establishes internal controls to assure proper compliance
• Establishes and communicates monthly and quarterly guidance on requirements for Operations, Board of Directors, and other key reports
• Direct partnership with functional leaders to understand and report financials results and operating metrics
• Performs ad hoc analyses for operational and financial management
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent Business discipline.
• 5 + years business related experience including similar job responsibilities.
• Must be able to make decisions based on precedent and solve arising problems using sound judgment, experience and data gathered through research.
• SAP and Business Warehouse experience
• Detail oriented/process driven
• Pro-active/anticipates future needs
• Continuous process improvement/incremental change
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
• Ability to work independently and as a team member with excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Proficiency with Excel is required
• Intermediate skill level on PowerPoint and Word
Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidate will have extensive experience in excel based financial modeling, financial planning and analysis, and partnering with non-finance business partners. Prior experience working in the software development and/or financial services industry is a strong plus.
• Strong organizational skills, in particular, an attention to detail and the ability to prepare reports in a timely and effective manner.
• Ability to examine and verify financial documents and reports and skill in analyzing and interpreting financial data.
• Ability to prepare a variety of financial statements, reports and analyses as well as accuracy in working with large amounts of data.
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in wr with supervisors and personnel and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, business partners and company officials.
• BPC knowledge is a plus.
• MBA, CFA and/or CPA strongly preferred
