As a member of Distributions team, you will be responsible for providing exemplary customer service by processing distribution requests from policy holders of AGL and its subsidiaries.
This position reports to a Manager of Individual Retirement Distributions and works closely with internal and external customers and other departments researching alternative approaches to meet client needs.
Performance Objects:
• Successful at meeting production deadlines and maintaining or exceeding quality expectations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate with all levels including officers
• Excel experience for calculations and working knowledge of macros preferred.
• Must be able to work overtime with limited notice due to requirements of processing standards and workload
• To resolve escalated issues and provide exception requests as needed to alleviate the requirement for management to handle escalations
• Ability to support and resolve escalations from other team members
• Organizational Skills in order to guide the team in managing the daily workload as well as the manual aspect of the job requirement
• Soft people skills in order to facilitate team training, questions, productivity, quality, coaching; if needed. In addition to assist with the piloting of the NIGO process
• Building relationships with other teams/areas of the business in order to create stability for processes and procedures
• Expanding knowledge base as to how our actions/reactions/errors impact not just our clients but other departments, aiding in a growing knowledge of how some of the other departments function.
• Create stability within the team with anticipation of expansion to include other functions
• Attention to detail enabling the identification of process improvement opportunities.
• Facilitate the move of legacy (runoff) functions and resources to a dedicated support team
• Provide a clear separation of SME duty roles between Inforce and legacy (runoff) line of business
• Ability to support and resolve escalations from other team members
• Handle special projects assigned for complex problem accounts to coordinate and resolve. Some require unusual customer requests, evaluate and resolve escalated and high priority cases using research skills, alternative approaches and evaluate different resolutions methods depending on cases and internal/external customers.
The Ideal Candidate Should Have:
• two to five years of clerical experience with heavy data entry skills and utilize Microsoft Word and Excel products.
• Must be able to work overtime with little notice due to requirements of processing standards and workload.
• Work in a fast paced environment using multiple programs and windows
