The Bankcard Services Support Representative is responsible for performing daily functions to facilitate the servicing of the ATM/Debit cards, Business credit cards, EFT disputes and ATM monitoring for all Western Alliance Bancorporation (WAL) affiliate banks.
Responsibilities
• Balances and prepares ATM/Debit card and Business credit card daily settlement for WAL banks.
• Orders cards; processes limit increases, hotcards and address changes for the ATM/Debit card for WAL banks.
• Submits various monthly reports to Bank management.
• Facilitates card orders, limit increases, billing changes and general customer service to WAL banks for the Business credit card portfolio.
• Monitors and remotely balances all WAL bank’s ATMs daily.
• Processes block entries for all daily settlements.
• Processes and monitors all EFT disputes for WAL banks.
• Performs a callback on all data entry for ATM/Debit cards completed the preceding day.
• Performs a callback on all scanning done for the Business credit card portfolio.
• Prepares and distributes various certifications and reports for the ATM/Debit cards and Business credit card portfolio.
• Conducts monthly audits and certifications.
• Handles lost, stolen or fraudulent card issues.
• Maintains strict confidentiality of all records and data received and produced
• Resolves customer inquiries and complaints within given authority.
• Provides superior customer service and appropriate follow through to internal and external customers.
• Operates computer efficiently to process account activity.
• Perform card maintenance on mainframe (ITI) including the addition, deletion and creation of port name lines; complete address changes on the account and port level; and perform code changes and add addenda(s) on the port and account levels.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one (1) year of related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
◦ Work related experience should consist of a technical background (personal computer) and BankCard Services products (ATM, merchant services, debit cards, etc.)
◦ Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or technical industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related.
• Intermediate knowledge of Regulation E dispute resolutions and basic to intermediate experience, knowledge and training in merchant or bank card activities, terminology and products and services (ATM Card ordering, ATM fills and balancing, merchant services, credit cards, all settlement processes and callbacks).
• Basic knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations, and other Bank operational policies.
• Basic to intermediate skills in personal computer operation and mainframe computer system operation as well as word processing and spreadsheet software programs (e.g., Microsoft Word and Excel, etc.).
• Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
