Description
The Payroll Analyst position is part of our growing Outsourcing Solutions team within our Sebring, FL.office. At this time, we are in need of an accounting/bookkeeping clerk who has extensive Payroll processing experience, preferably preparing payrolls for the agricultural industry. This is a full-time position based in the Outsourcing group. In addition to processing payrolls, this person would be involved in other bookkeeping/accounting projects as time allows. This person should possess the following experience/skills:
• Payroll background; experience working with agricultural employees and knowledge of specific payroll requirements for agricultural payrolls a plus.
• Strong computer skills with the ability to pick up new programs quickly.
• General bookkeeping experience.
• Experience making payroll deposits, paying workers compensation premiums, weekly cost/cashflow forecasting, working with check and direct deposit payrolls.
• Preparing quarterly payroll tax returns, W-2s, and annual payroll tax returns.
• Working closely with clients and providing various reports on demand.
• Experience with H2A workers and their regulatory requirements.
• Comfortable working within tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills in being able to work with multiple people internal to CLA and with clients
Requirements
Experience:
• A minimum of four years of payroll experience is required
• Experience preparing payrolls for the agricultural industry
• Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet experience is required
Skills/Knowledge:
• Strong aptitude and solid analytical skills
• Ability to perform tasks with attention to detail
• Ability to present and write information in a clear and effective manner
• Time management and prioritization skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a professional, businesslike manner
• Ability to work with confidential information
• Good interpersonal skills - team player attitude
