Position Summary:
The Senior Actuarial Analyst supports the P&C Americas Reserving team for quarterly reserving, statutory reporting, data management and other actuarial-related projects. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work closely with Finance, Claims, Technical Accounting and Underwriting.
About the Role:
• Perform quarterly reserving analysis on assigned segments and present results to key underwriting, finance, and client markets stakeholders.
• Support the Appointed Actuary on statutory and internal Swiss Re reporting.
• Work with claims, technical accounting, and systems to ensure that reserving data serves as a sound basis for reserving decisions.
• Regularly work on actuarial-related projects and systems development
About You:
• University degree in mathematics or actuarial science
• A strong track record of past actuarial exam performance with a minimum of three actuarial exams.
• Minimum 3 years or more of pricing or reserving experience in the P&C insurance field
• Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint)
• Proficiency in data analysis and management (Power Pivot/Access), Programming (R, Python) or data visualization (Tableau) would be a strong plus
