Amegy Bank, a division of ZB, N.A., is looking for an experienced Commercial Lending Relationship Manager in the Houston market to join the International Banking team. The ideal candidate possesses a talent and passion for business prospecting and client relationship development, particularly focused on clients doing business abroad. International Banking is a full service lending group with expertise in financing solutions focused on exporters, importers and U.S. subsidiaries of foreign parent companies. The Candidate will be responsible for generating and structuring credit enhanced and conventional loans by proactively calling, developing, and maintaining relationships externally in the marketplace and internally by working with C&I Lenders, Private Bankers, Energy Lenders, and Business Bankers.
The position is responsible for developing strong commercial relationships while maintaining quality customer service. Additional International Banking objectives:
• Acts as a Relationship Manager for new and existing clients.
• Strong business development skills, with some experience in selling Trade Finance solutions, including EXIM Bank programs, Foreign Direct Investment, Trade Cycle Finance, Export Trade Services, Letters of Credit and Foreign Exchange (preferred).
• Successful management of a portfolio of clients, focused on a high level of customer service.
• Responsible for sales, credit analysis, proper loan structuring, client interviewing and perceptive character judgment.
• Cross-sell other bank products.
• Remains well versed in industrial, economic and financial situations as well as regulatory requirements relating to international banking.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Requires a Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in Lending.
• Experience in selling financial services products in Trade Finance and Foreign Exchange or other directly related experience is preferred.
• Strong sales, client product, and relationship management skills.
• A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
• Knowledge of credit and lending practices and specific international trade products and banking services, including depository services.
• Good customer relations and business development skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to build strong working relationships.
• Good problem resolution, decision making and negotiation skills.
• Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office.
