Job Responsibilities
The Account Executive is a critical part of the retention and cross selling process for clients of Associated Benefits and Risk Consulting. They ensure the client is fully aware of all services provided and that the client receives “Best of Class Service" from all agency resources to fulfill their needs and exceed their expectations. As the facilitator of the client team, they proactively communicate client expectations to all parties, develop and manage all aspects of the client relationship, partner with the sales staff in deepening the client relationship and build client revenue through deep sell opportunities. This position also supports the Consultant in the new client sales process.
Position Details
• Ability to independently coordinate and manage the implementation and/or commitments outlined in the Client Service Plan.
• Ensures all client service expectations are met or exceeded.
• Maintains expertise in all agency products and services (i.e. Client Technology Solutions, HR Solutions, Wellness, etc.) and consistently recognizes or anticipates needs of clients and takes the necessary steps to ensure our clients are informed of solutions to further support the client’s needs.
• Solicit feedback from clients periodically to ensure service expectations are being met or ideally, exceeded.
• Demonstrated expertise in legislative changes/updates, specialty product and/or services (such as global coverage, M & A activity) and has the ability to independently advise clients of the impact on their decisions.
• AE actively engages in internal and external training.
• Ability to independently market, structure, place and service Management Liability Programs.
• Keep clients up to date with legislative and mandate changes or any other related news, updates and trends.
• Work with other Account Executives to improve processes and procedures and acts as a backup to others to ensure clients’ needs are met.
• Demonstrated ability to independently maintain accounts in transition (from one consultant to another or to rebalance a book of business) or temporarily act in a lead role on an account without direction.
• Keeps management apprised of new AE training needs, results, and client experiences. Actively participate in re-enforcement training and works with Client Service team to ensure consistent resolution of client escalated issues.
Qualifications
Job Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Required
• 4 + years Insurance industry experience and knowledge of management liability, laws, products, coverages and market required.
• 7 + years Insurance industry experience w/substantial client contact Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
• Property and Casualty Insurance License Required
