Job Description
Reporting directly to the Director of Branch Administration, the Program Manager will lead the management of the projects led or participated by the First line CDD function, including specific initiatives that drive the strategic agenda. The role represents an excellent developmental opportunity for a candidate looking to broaden their leadership skills. Responsible and accountable for the coordinated management of multiple critical projects directed toward a strategic business and organizational objective. Build credibility and maintain open communication with stakeholders at multiple levels, including senior management and external vendors. Define and initiate projects to manage time, performance of component requirements or employee involvement while working to ensure ultimate success of testing and/or acceptance of program. Present periodic Dashboard reports on current programs, department statistics/trends and progress to senior and executive management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Act as operating owner of a broad range of high-profile operational initiatives. Define, develop, implement and monitor project plans that will drive key processes and programs to intended outcomes within agreed upon timeframes. Develop full scale project plans with detailed tasks ensuring clear lines of accountability.
• Direct the workflow of allocated resources in order to ensure productivity and efficiency. Oversee and ensure all CDD initiatives are on track, partnering with internal project liaisons to acquire resources, assign tasks, directs activities, and drive execution. Coaches and mentors project team members.
• Drive execution of project plans constantly monitoring, analyzing and reporting on progress to all stakeholders including executives. Implement reporting mechanisms to ensure team and key stakeholders are getting real-time data on project status. Forecasts trends and proactively identify obstacles in project scope, resources or outcomes. Manage changes in project scope and devise contingency plans. Understands business priorities and recommend new approaches/ procedures to affect continuous improvement.
• Initiates and conducts RFIs and RFPs for vendor services required to complete projects in the program portfolio.
Requirements
• Bachelors and/or 5-7 years of project management experience.
• Proven ability in applying project management knowledge to initiatives/business priorities in order to recommend options and drive team/stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
• Demonstrated knowledge of project management lifecycle and tools.
• Strong MS tool experience with Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
• Superior analytical skills and ability to quickly synthesize data to drive decision-making.
• Highly organized and possesses the ability to quickly adjust priorities and work in a complex environment.
• Strong leadership, communication and relationship management skills to work with immediate team as well as cross-functional teams at all levels to collect, manage and communicate project status, upstream and downstream dependencies, issues and risks.
• Must be a self-starter and have the ability to manage and organize time and priorities to achieve business results.
• Previous experience in the following areas is preferred: AML/BSA, strategy, compliance, operations, legal, and technology is desired.
• Experienced in AML compliance/operations roles with knowledge of the U.S. regulatory environment with emphasis on the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA PATRIOT Act and OFAC programs is desired.
